![]() This makes you actually have to form relationships with people, and get to know them and their characters very well. This is meant to be a multiplayer dungeon, not a dungeon game where you occasionally bump into other people grinding areas. Clan Lord was built with longevity in mind.Ī lot of the content unfolds (meaning you're able to tackle without falling all the time) after the first 6 months to a year depending on how well you play, how you train your character and how good your mouse clicking skills are.Īnd a lot of things past the third circle you can't do alone. ![]() That's why, if you're only in it to "beat" the game you'll be sorely disappointed. The game is really about having fun at where you are, and having fun with other people. You're competing with people that have played many years to get where they are. That's why it takes so long to rise to the top. (Though you could certainly play that way, and in a few years be among the top players if you're willing to dedicate time to it.) Note: there's no level cap. But getting to the top isn't what the game's about. It's not a game you can play the hell out of in one month and get to the top, or even in six months. Yes you do have to invest a lot of time in order to get powerful at this game. So, it's cheaper and longer lasting than most games for play value. All you have to do now if pay the $15 for an account and you get one character slot. So, I'll answer some of the previous comments.įirst off, Clan Lord dropped its monthly fee in January of 2009. Great game, great community and great people.First off I have a long standing character in the game. I can state with absolute honesty you will never meet a community of people like the ones you will in this game. There the world community come together sharing many aspects of their lives and interests with fellow players. The community forum is moderated by a dedicated team and has always held a PG rating which means it holds to high standards of behaviour. A UK teenager could clan together with a senior citizen from Ukraine, a oil field engineer could clan with a medical student but no-one would know as we all hide behind our character names. The world wide community the Lords of Legend attracts are as diverse as you can get with no age restrictions you'd find elswhere. Imagine trying to get 20-30 people from many different timezones working together and you'll get an idea of how hard it is to win. The nearer to the finishing post a clan gets the more enemies they attract who will do everything to stop them. The winning clan must pass a certain amount of "power" to win one of the most difficult competitions in the online gaming world. You must join or create a clan and come together with people from all walks of life and from all over the world in order to war and fight for ranking. dare you take the risk?Īnother factor is the clan(team) system on which the game operates. the more gold you hold the bigger the target you put on your back but the wolves are circling. you save up the gold to increase your army but you need expensive buildings to not only house your troops but armouries a stables etc all meaning you need ever increasing amounts of gold. you get gold and a single attack point each 30 minutes. On the surface this is a very simple game.
